Early autumn –

the sea and the fields,

one green

初秋や海も青田の一みどり

芭蕉

hatsuaki ya umi mo aota no hitomidori

The rice farm in front of me and the ocean beyond are all one color of green.  As it opens my view, it opens my heart.

This haiku talks about the crispness of early fall.

Haiku makes me wish I knew Japanese so I could read it without transltation.
